The day started off with Brendan volunteering to get the girls up. :) Heidi was so cute when Brendan walked in the room. As soon as she noticed him she was so excited and told him he should come sleep with her.
When sleeping didn't interest Brendan, Heidi was quick to suggest they jump on the bed instead. Apparently Brendan thought this was a more appealing and much better idea! lol :)
Next it was time to wake up the birthday girl. While she received a rousing rendition of the "Happy Birthday" song from Uncle Dan, Uncle Darin, Brendan, Heidi, and Mommy her response was to crawl under the bed and hide from us. I guess our singing wasn't very good...

Next it was time for a breakfast of grapes and Kix cereal
Kennedy and Alaina (both nearly 5 months old) enjoyed conversing on the floor while their older siblings ate breakfast
Alaina is such a sweet and happy baby and obviously thinks her Daddy is hilarious! lol :)
Kennedy decided to roll over and tackle Alaina or maybe just get a better look at that cute baby! :)
When the 2 year olds headed downstairs they quickly discovered Reagan's elephant hats and became a little herd of elephants. Getting a picture of them together all wearing a hat at the same time, however, was more like herding cats.
Bumping noses
Next it was time to play Reagan's new birthday "Elefun" game
Time for a banana snack break - and some tip toe time too
Brendan working hard at putting the butterflies back in the elephant
I love Reagan's tongue hanging out while working on putting the butterflies away
Heidi working on catching vs picking up the butterflies
Maybe it would be easier to catch a Missy Reagan???
Time for some music - both playing and singing
What a smile! :)
Checking out the new birthday toys
Reading books together
Baby picture time again - unfortunately my camera quit working so I didn't get many good pictures. Elise was able to take quite a few though so when I get some from her I'll share those too.
Two sweet, happy, precious baby girls! :)
After Uncle Darin, Aunt Elise, Brendan and Alaina left the girls had lunch and then headed downstairs to snuggle and watch a movie.
After Reagan's nap Heidi and Reagan decided it was time for a dinner of cereal with milk quickly followed by a session of cupcake decorating. What a fun mess we made! :)
Heidi worked very hard at getting her sprinkles on her cupcake(s)
Reagan dug right into her cupcake and didn't bother with sprinkles...
for a moment or two anyway and then she put them on by the handful. lol :)
Heidi decided to sample her hardwork too
More icing and sprinkles
Heidi still being careful about sprinkle placement
I didn't see it happen but apparently Reagan decided sprinkles make a good hair accessory as well as cupcake decoration. :)
Icing mustache
Another beautiful yummy cupcake!
By the end both Heidi and Reagan were using sprinkles by the handful and as you can see the floor and table received as many (or more) deorations as the cupcakes. lol :)
After cupcakes the girls went to play while I cleaned up. They started following each other around with the little white chairs playing different games like train and I don't know what all else. They are so cute and have so much fun together!
They ended up over by the front door waiting for Uncle Dan/Daddy to arrive with the birthday pizza
Even though they had already eaten cereal and cupcakes Heidi couldn't wait and dove right in while Daddy wasn't looking, stealing a couple of pepporoni slices
Reagan decided that looked like a good idea but went for an entire slice (with some assistance from Heidi)
What delicious Uno's pizza! Thank you Uncle Dan and Aunt Dorothy for providing such a great birthday supper!
Before bed Reagan had one more cupcake birthday snack and opened a few cards and presents we had saved. She especially loved her package from Aunt Jen and Uncle Andrew which contained two new books. We read "There's a Monster at the End of This Book" 3 or 4 times before bed and still ended up with a tantrum because it was nearly 10:00 and I said no when Reagan wanted to read it "one more time."
Thank you to everyone who made special trips to visit and share Reagan's birthday weekend with us. Thank you also to everyone who gave or sent Reagan a present. We are so blessed to have such wonderful and caring family and friends. Thank you all for absolutely everything!
~
Stay tuned for lots more birthday and Easter pictures. I'm working as fast as I can but realized I downloaded all the Easter pictures on to our laptop and Tim has that right now. I'll get them up someday! :)
