Reading with Aunt Jolene

In an effort to begin to get our trip pictures posted I thought I'd start by finishing up posting pictures from our trips to Michigan in December and January. We had so much fun both times and appreciated the hospitality of Uncle David and Aunt Jolene tremendously!

Great Uncle David and Aunt Jolene are so much fun and make great stand-in grandparents! Here are a few pictures of Reagan enjoying books with Aunt Jolene.

Spending Time with Great Grandma LaBar

One of Reagan's favorite activities with Great Grandma LaBar was to eat ice cream. Great Grandma started out sharing the first time but didn't get a single bite herself. After that Reagan got her own bowls of ice cream. :)

One day Reagan was fussing so Great Grandma picked her up and started to sing to her. Reagan loved it and calmed right down. It was so sweet!

Watch Me Grow - 9 Months

Sorry this is a bit late this month. We are home but I've had Bronchitis and not felt well at all! That said, getting pictures taken and posted has been somewhat low on my priority list. Miss. Reagan was a trooper all this week though and such a sweetheart while I wasn't feeling well. She is such a honey and so patient with her parents!!! :) Reagan is getting busier all the time. She's getting walking figured out but I don't have any predictions as to when she'll actually start moving, especially since she's still not really crawling yet! lol :) She is standing quite well on her own (when she's in the mood) and doing well behind her walking toys as well as pulling up on everything. Thanks to Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Ted for this super cute outfit and silly hat for Reagan's picture this month!

Heidi

I apologize again for being so deliquent in our posts lately. We're still traveling so that's still my excuse for the moment. :) These posts are a bit out of sequence but I had a few minutes today so I thought I would get some quick baby pictures up while I had the opportunity. I'd do more but Reagan is calling. :) Enjoy the pics and I'll get up more pics from Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Tennessee as soon as time permits!

On December 26, we left DC and spent one night in Michigan so we could see Reagan's second cousin, Heidi. It was so much fun to get the girls together since they haven't seen each other since last June. We had a fabulous time together and wish the visit could have been longer!!! :)

Brendan

After visiting Michigan we headed to Wisconsin then Illinois and then Grandpa Ted picked up Anna and Reagan to head back to Michigan to visit Great Grandma LaBar. We stayed with Uncle David and Aunt Jolene and greatly appreciated their hospitality! While we were there we were able to see Darin, Elise, and Brendan twice. It was so much fun having the babies together!

Standing

Reagan's not anywhere close to walking but much to our surprise she started standing on her own Saturday, January 5. She pulls up on her walker (a great Christmas present from Grandma Karen and Grandpa Jim that she loves) and lets go of the handle. As you can see she likes to hold another object in her hands while standing. Most of the time she only makes it a few seconds but there have been a number of times she has stood for as long as 10-15 seconds. Long enough for us to grab a camera and snap a few shots! :)

Happy 2008!

Happy New Year Everyone! Sorry it's been a while since I updated the blog. We've been traveling again (MI, WI, IL) and it's just harder to keep this updated when you're on the road! Here are some pics from Grandma Karen and Grandpa Jim's New Year's Party last week. We had lots of fun! :)

Like father, like son, like granddaughter??? I think these were the only three who fell asleep at the Lueker New Year's Eve party before midnight...

Time Square New Years Ball

The New York Macy's (which we visited after Thanksgiving) had on display, for the first time ever, the Waterford Crystal ball which is dropped each New Year's Eve in Time Square. This was in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the dropping of the ball. As it was continuously changing colors Reagan was pretty fascinated with the display. We hope everyone had as wonderful a 2007 as we did and wish you all an even better 2008!
