Reagan's First Christmas

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Miss. Reagan! We enjoyed sharing it with Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Ted at home in DC but wish all our friends and family could have been hear with us to enjoy it too! We hope you all had a blessed Christmas and enjoy checking out how we spent the holiday!

Advent Calendar from Great Aunt Joan

Great Aunt Joan made this advent calendar for all her LaBar neices and nephews when we were little. Ours has always hung in Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Ted's house during the holiday season. This year they passed it on to us to share with Reagan. It was also fun because it turned out to be Daddy's first advent calendar too! Thank you Aunt Joan for such a special gift that we can share with our new family!

Opening Christmas Presents

Reagan has figured out how to make short work of wrapping paper. :)

Reagan's First American Girl Doll

Santa brought Reagan a Bitty Baby for Christmas. She loves babies so much we hoped she might enjoy a doll and so far we haven't been dissapointed. She has talked and talked to her baby as well as giving her many kisses!
Grandma and Grandpa brought a cradle with them that Great Grandma LaBar and Mommy used for their dolls when they were little girls. It looks like Reagan has figured out how to rock her baby...

Fisher Price Baby Grand Piano

Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Ted gave Reagan a Fisher Price Grand Piano for Christmas. She absolutely loves it!!! She has had so much fun playing with it last night and today. We're just sorry she has to leave it behind as we start our travels tomorrow!
Watch me play and sing
Here is my music
Look, Grandma knows how to play Reagan's piano too! :)

Christmas Fun

Checking a cute baby out in the mirror
Playing with Reagan's new Jack-in-the-box from Daddy with Grandpa
Reagan had more fun stopping the top than watching it spin :)
These little people sure are yummy!

Santa Clause

Merry Christmas Everyone!
~
The weekend after Thanksgiving we went to New York to visit Santa in Macy's famous 12,000 square foot Santaland. It was amazing and so much fun! We would have posted these pics sooner but we thought it would be fun to save them for Christmas, especially since we weren't intially sure what pictures we wanted to use for our Christmas card.

Tennessee Santa

While we were in Tennessee we went to Grandma Sherry's school Christmas Pageant. While we were there we had the opportunity to see Santa again!
Reagan decided she liked Santa a little better when Grandma was holding her...

National Art Gallery

Grandpa wanted to see the Edward Hopper exhibit in the National Art Gallery while visiting DC this time. We enjoyed the exhibit very much. Reagan had the opportunity to see her first Picasso, Monet, Manet, Cezanne, Turner, and Renoir paintings among others. For whatever reason she appeared to be the most interested in Cezanne's works.
~
Thank you to Uncle Nathan and Aunt Kim for the adorable purple outfit!

LaBar Family Christmas

We were able to get together with the LaBar family the weekend of December 14-16 to celebrate Christmas. We had a wonderful time with everyone and only wish we could have spent more time together!
The celebration was extra special because Aunt Jen and Uncle Andrew came home from California to share in the festivities.
Getting sugar from Grandma Sherry
Checking out Reagan's new toy train from Uncle Andrew and Aunt Jen. Reagan loves this train and the little balls that pop up through the smoke stack! Thank you so much for the thoughtful and fun gift Aunt Jen and Uncle Andrew!

Daddy's First Christmas

Tim had the opportunity to try out his Daddy skills by putting together a Lion walker Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Ted gave Reagan.
We know the head goes on here somehow... It was apparently a bit harder than it looked but as a master Daddy, Tim got it figured out! :)
Aunt Jen helping Reagan check out her new toy.
Look, I can walk all by myself!
I can ride it too with some help from Daddy!
Thanks for the cool lion Grandma and Grandpa!

New Experiences in Tennessee

While in Tennessee Reagan's LaBar relatives had some ideas on things she needed to try out...
~
We took Grandma lunch one day and she thought Reagan might enjoy sharing her hamburger.
When we took Grandpa lunch he thought Reagan might like to try using a water fountain. Reagan didn't manage to get much in her mouth but she sure had fun splashing in the water!
Since Uncle Andrew wasn't sharing Reagan decided to help herself to one of his onion rings when no one was looking.
