So Big

Reagan was added to Grandma Karen and Grandpa Jim's door of fame this week. We can now officially start charting her growth in relation to Aunt Julie and Uncle Jimmy among other family and friends who have had the fortune to be included in this tradition.

Cupcakes

Grandma Karen bought small cupcakes especially for Reagan this week. They sure were yummy and messy!

Grandpa's Deer

Reagan has been fascinated by Grandpa Jim's mounted deer heads this week. At the beginning of the week she would point to it until you got her right up next to it and then she would turn away and pretend to try and get away. She has now graduated to bravely touching the deer's nose. As you can see she thinks the deer and the game are pretty funny. lol :)

Palm Sunday

We thought we would take a few pictures after church this morning. I'm actually wanting to get a family picture taken in these outfits so I wanted to see how they looked on film. Thank you Grandma Sherry for the dress!

I didn't originally post this picture with a comment but now that I look at it again I believe it needs one. This week Reagan has learned to point at things she wants. It's been great because it cuts down on her frustration level drastically as we now understand what she would like or need. The flip side is our little dictator believes she should naturally and automatically receive anything she points too; including us. lol :) She did not particularily want to stand in this picture and was wanting me to pick her up, hence the pointing. We have our very own little Uncle Sam; I want you!

Thank you so much to Grandpa Ted and Grandma Sherry for sharing a week of their spring break with us! We had a wonderful time and appreciate everything you did for and with us while you were here. We're looking forward to seeing you at Easter along with the Lueker clan in Illinois in just a couple of weeks!

A couple of weeks ago Aunt Jen tagged me (thanks a bunch!) to list 6 random thoughts/ habits/ quirks, about me. I like pictures more than words on our blog so I'll do my best to keep this brief.

1) Scrapbooking is my favorite hobby!!! My best friend, Kelly, got me started on this hobby shortly before I became pregnant with Reagan and I'm completely hooked! The only problem is I don't have anyone close by to scrapbook with. :( I think it's so much more fun in a group because you can get advice and share ideas (not to mention all the extra stickers/letters/paper you accumulate). I have to give Tim props though because in a pinch he is very sweet and willing to give me ideas. I'd really like to have a scrapbook party sometime with Jodi and Karoline in Wisconsin as well as Dorothy and Elise in Michigan (or where ever we manage to hook up). In the meantime I'm very much looking forward to scrapbooking with Kelly and Brenda in Tennessee in April! :)

2) I guess this goes along with scrapbooking, or maybe it's the reason I love scrapbooking, but in anycase I am a picture person. I love pictures!!! I enjoy taking, seeing everyone elses, and sharing pictures in general. So please keep your blogs updated because I love to look at all of your pictures and cute kids!!!

3) Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I especially love the ocean and beaches and for some random reason I can't explain I can't wait for Tim to take me to FIJI. :) No idea when we might make it but I'm dying to go! I also can't wait to take our kids to Egypt and on a Safari. I think you have to be at least 12 years old for a Safari, however, so that will be a while...

4) I do not like clutter. Getting too much stuff and junk really bugs me. I'd rather have a few things I truly love than a bunch of stuff.

5) Even though I don't like clutter I'm terrible at controlling it! I have an especially difficult time getting rid of things people have given me even if it's not something I would have chosen or wanted. Tim is even worse than me, however, as he has a sentimental attachment to everything!

6) I throughly love and enjoy every minute of being a stay at home mom. I have so much fun spending my time with Miss Reagan!!! I'm so glad Tim has been completely supportive of my desire to stay at home with her and any future children. I have enjoyed having the opportunity to see her develop and look forward to all her future milestones. I can't believe she's nearly a year old but on the otherhand it's hard to believe she hasn't always been a part of our lives. She is such a sweet and loving little girl and we are blessed to have her in our life! :)

I'm tagging Aunt Kayci, Elise, Jane and Emily!!! I hope you all appreciate it as much as I did and I can't wait to learn a little more about you! lol :)

The National Zoo

Grandpa Ted and Grandma Sherry came to spend a week of their spring break with us. We have had a wonderful time with them and wish they didn't have to leave on Saturday!!!

While Grandpa and Grandma have been visiting the weather has been gorgeous and we have been taking full advantage of it! One day we visited the National Zoo. Reagan took much more notice of the animals during this visit which made it more fun for the adults. The animals must have been loving the beautiful weather too because we've never seen so much activity in one day at any zoo. We saw a panda and a cheetah eating, a tiger playing with a big ball, elephants doing a show, a Pygmy Hippo swimming and playing, monkeys and Orangutans swinging from trees, and the funniest thing of all was probably a Meerkat who was running in circles around his cage and pausing momentarialy each time he passed Reagan. Unfortunately we didn't think about video taping it until after we left the exhibit. I wish we had because it sure was cute and funny; especially since Miss. Reagan wasn't quite sure what to think about that crazy little animal! lol :)

We thought this would be a great picture opportunity but Reagan didn't think it was a very good idea so Grandma agreed to pose as well. Actually, as cute as this looked to us we didn't see a single child who wanted to go near it the entire time we were there. There must have been a half a dozen people who came up and wanted their kids to sit, stand, hug, pose or do anything with this Panda statue and not a child wanted anything to do with it. Go figure...
