Watch Me Grow - Kennedy - 1 Week
I'm sure many of you remember that we charted Reagan's growth using a big yellow duck during her first year. We're going to do the same for Kennedy and captured her first duck picture this past weekend. We're also including Reagan's first duck picture for comparison along with an updated duck picture of her. Hope you enjoy these pictures of our growing girls!

Kennedy had her 1 week appointment yesterday and is doing well. She currently weighs 7lb 9oz so she isn't quite back to her birth weight. The doctor wasn't worried, however, as he said it can take up to two weeks for newborns to regain their birth weight.

Reagan - 19 Months - November 2008
Thank you again to Aunt Kim and Uncle Nathan for this big silly yellow duck! Thank you also to them for the cute outfit Kennedy is wearing in the picture above. Thank you to Grammy for the blue dress and heart stockings Reagan is wearing in her most recent duck picture.
Pictures with Pa
For those of you wondering if Pa really came to visit, here are some pictures of him with his girls. We didn't let him out from behind the camera very often but we were able to get a few quick pics! :) Thanks so much for flying up for Thanksgiving and being our photographer while you were here Pa! Quality Kennedy and Pa Time

Our "Super Power Pooper"
Hard to believe anything that looks this sweet could earn such a nickname from Pa...
In the wee hours of Thursday morning Tim was being an awesome husband and father and taking his turn changing Kennedy's diaper. He might not have volunteered if he had realized it would turn into an hour and a half ordeal... It started out when Kennedy peed while he was changing her and required a change of clothing (as well as another diaper). While that was occurring I saw him fly to the side and intially thought a cat had attacked him. He said no she had pooped. She took aim at him once more before it was all said and done and left quite a mess on the floor behind where he was standing. It wasn't until I came out of the shower the next morning that I saw the wall pictured below had been hit as well.
Yes, that last spot you can see there is 9 1/2 feet away from where Kennedy was being changed!!! Tim says if you consider that we were measuring a straight line rather than the arc which the poop shot it's even more impressive and probably over 10 ft!
I should put a disclaimer here that no one else could believe I would take pictures and post this. I don't think anyone else would believe the story if I didn't! lol :) It certainly sounds exagerrated to me and I was there!!! Reagan did something similar to me when she was less than a week old (but without witnesses) and I don't think anyone believed me when I said it was like a fire hose. So here's my proof of that incident as well! I've never heard of anyone elses babies doing anything like this so watch out if you're changing one of my children's diapers! You never know what you might be in for! lol :)

I think the funniest comment of the evening (made by Tim to Kennedy sometime during the cleaning up process) was that while he sure does love her he wishes she would quit making him prove it. lol :) I guess between having to deliver her and a couple other things Kennedy is making sure Tim has been fully indoctrinated into the adventures of fatherhood. lol :)

Elmo Live
Aunt Arla and Uncle Scott sent Reagan a package this week which included an Elmo Live among many other things. Reagan loves everything although the favorites have been Elmo and some Bert and Ernie juice boxes. Thanks so much for the package!

Prayers for Strangers - 2
You may remember a little over a month ago I posted links to two blogs I follow of incredible families who have been dealing with very serious medical issues of loved ones. Amazingly both families are doing better than expected and have been receiving good, if not miraculous, news. If you're interested in their progress, you can read more at the following two links:

(After posting this on Friday Aidan's family posted some unfortunate news on his condition. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they continue on this journey.)

Naptime
Reagan has never been a great napper and lately she's been even more challenging than usual. There were two days last week she refused to take a nap at all. Today while I was busy remaking our bed with clean sheets she got mad at me for not helping her up on the bed. I asked her something about going up stairs and off she went by herself. While I was finishing up in our bedroom I thought it sounded a bit quite upstairs. When I got up there to my amazement this is what I found! I guess even Reagan sometimes needs a nap!!!
